By installing or using Crvvi (the "App," "we," "us," "our"), you ("you," "user") agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you don't agree, don't use the App. These Terms include important disclaimers about food safety, allergens, AI-generated content, and limitations of our liability — please read them carefully.
The service
Crvvi is a meal-planning iOS app that uses AI to generate weekly meal plans and pre-build a grocery cart at a third-party retailer (currently Kroger). We provide it on an as-is, as-available basis.
Subscriptions
- Crvvi Pro is an auto-renewing monthly subscription at $4.99 USD (or local equivalent), preceded by a 7-day free trial for new subscribers.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase and at the start of each renewal period.
- The subscription auto-renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage and cancel your subscription at any time in your iPhone's Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions, or via the link in Crvvi's Settings tab.
- Free-trial conversion: if you don't cancel before the trial ends, you'll be charged the regular subscription price and the auto-renew cycle begins.
- Refunds are handled by Apple per their App Store policy.
Your account
Crvvi works without an account by default (device-scoped). If you Sign in with Apple, you can recover your data on a new device. You're responsible for keeping access to the Apple ID you sign in with. You must be at least 13 years old to use Crvvi. If you're under 18 in your jurisdiction, you may only use the App with permission from a parent or legal guardian, and that adult is responsible for your use.
Acceptable use
Don't:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the App.
- Use the App to send spam, fraudulent orders, or scrape/abuse the Kroger API beyond normal personal use.
- Use the App in any way that violates Anthropic's, Kroger's, Apple's, RevenueCat's, or Supabase's terms — your use of Crvvi is also subject to those parties' terms where it touches their services.
- Use the App for commercial reselling, redistribution, or any business purpose without our written permission.
- Use the App to plan meals for anyone (including yourself) with severe food allergies, immunocompromised conditions, pregnancy-related dietary restrictions, or other medical conditions without independent verification of every ingredient and preparation step by a qualified professional.
AI-generated content
Meal plans, recipes, ingredient lists, cooking instructions, prep times, serving counts, cost estimates, and food photos generated by the App are produced by artificial intelligence (currently Anthropic's Claude). AI models hallucinate, omit steps, suggest incompatible ingredients, mis-state quantities, and produce content that looks confident but is incorrect. Treat every AI-generated recipe as a starting point that requires your independent review before cooking.
Specifically, we do not guarantee that AI-generated content:
- Is safe to cook or consume.
- Identifies all allergens present in the suggested ingredients.
- Is nutritionally complete, balanced, or appropriate for any medical, religious, or lifestyle dietary requirement.
- Reflects accurate cooking times, temperatures, or food-safety thresholds.
- Is free from suggestions that, if followed literally, would result in undercooked, raw, contaminated, spoiled, or otherwise unsafe food.
- Is original or non-infringing of third-party recipe copyrights.
You are solely responsible for reviewing AI output, substituting ingredients you are allergic to or intolerant of, verifying cook temperatures (especially for meat, poultry, seafood, eggs, and dairy), and applying your own judgment before cooking or serving anything.
Food safety, allergens, and dietary restrictions
Crvvi is not a food-safety authority and does not perform allergen testing, ingredient verification, or nutritional analysis. Recipes — whether AI-generated, imported from third-party sources (URLs, social media, recipe sites), or created by you and saved in the App — may contain or come into contact with common allergens including, without limitation, milk, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, soy, wheat, fish, shellfish, and sesame, as well as ingredients you have not disclosed to the App. Grocery items pushed to your Kroger cart and the products you ultimately receive at the store may contain allergens not listed in the recipe, may have changed formulation since the App last looked them up, or may be subject to cross-contamination during manufacturing, transport, picking, or your own preparation.
You agree that:
- You will read every product label and recipe before cooking or consuming.
- You will independently verify allergen, kosher, halal, vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, or any other dietary status of every ingredient — the App's tags and filters are informational only and are not guaranteed accurate.
- You will not rely on the App as the sole source of allergen, dietary, or food-safety information for anyone, including yourself, family members, or guests.
- If you or anyone you cook for has a food allergy, intolerance, or medical condition affected by food, you will consult a qualified medical professional and read primary sources (product labels, manufacturer disclosures) before consuming anything.
You assume all risk of allergic reaction, foodborne illness, food poisoning, choking, undercooked or contaminated food, cross-contamination, ingredient substitution, and any other adverse outcome from cooking or consuming food prepared based on App content.
Cooking and kitchen safety
Cooking involves heat, sharp tools, hot oil, flammable materials, electricity, and the risk of injury. The App provides no warranty regarding the safety of the techniques, equipment, or temperatures suggested in any recipe. You are responsible for your own kitchen safety, including (without limitation) safe handling of knives, proper use of cooking appliances, avoiding burns, supervising children and pets, and ventilating during cooking. If you are uncertain about any technique or equipment, do not proceed.
No medical, nutritional, or professional advice
The App does not provide medical advice, nutritional counseling, dietetic services, or any other form of professional advice. Information in the App is for general informational and meal-planning purposes only. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you read in the App. If you have diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, kidney disease, food allergies, eating disorders, are pregnant or nursing, are caring for an infant or young child, or have any other medical condition affected by diet, consult a licensed physician or registered dietitian before relying on any meal plan, recipe, or ingredient suggestion from the App.
Nutritional information
Any calorie counts, macronutrient breakdowns, ingredient measurements, serving sizes, prep times, or cost estimates shown in the App are AI- or third-party-generated estimates. They are not laboratory-verified. Actual values vary based on the specific products you purchase, your preparation, brand differences, and substitutions. Do not rely on these numbers for any medical, fitness, or therapeutic purpose.
Grocery cart and retailer interactions
When the App pushes items to your Kroger cart, you remain fully responsible for reviewing the cart in the Kroger app or website before checkout, confirming product identity and quantity, verifying allergen and ingredient labels on the actual products you receive, and managing any substitutions Kroger makes. The App may map an ingredient name to a Kroger SKU incorrectly, may select the wrong pack size, may select a product containing allergens, or may select a product that is out of stock and replaced by Kroger with a different one. Always inspect the final cart and the final delivered or picked-up products before consuming. Pricing shown in the App is a point-in-time lookup and may not match what Kroger charges at checkout.
Imported recipes
The App lets you import recipes from third-party URLs and social-media posts (TikTok, Instagram, Pinterest, recipe websites). We do not author, vet, verify, or endorse imported recipes. Imported content is provided by third parties and processed by AI extraction that may misread or invent ingredients and steps. You import and use such content at your own risk and assume responsibility for any copyright, trademark, or trade-dress claims arising from your use of imported recipes.
Third-party services
Crvvi connects to several third parties. Each has its own terms:
- Apple (App Store, In-App Purchase, Sign in with Apple) — apple.com/legal
- Kroger (cart and product lookups) — kroger.com
- Anthropic (Claude AI) — anthropic.com/legal
- RevenueCat (subscription management) — revenuecat.com/terms
- Supabase (database hosting) — supabase.com/terms
We aren't responsible for downtime, data loss, or pricing errors from any of these providers, though we'll do what we can to mitigate them.
Pricing accuracy
Grocery prices shown in Crvvi come from Kroger's API and represent prices at your selected store at the time of the lookup. Final prices at checkout in Kroger's cart may differ due to promotions, regional pricing, or availability changes. We don't process payment for groceries — that's between you and Kroger.
Assumption of risk
You acknowledge that planning meals, cooking food, and consuming food carry inherent risks including (but not limited to) foodborne illness, allergic reactions, choking, burns, cuts, kitchen fires, drug interactions with food, weight changes, and other adverse health outcomes. You voluntarily assume all such risks when you use the App, follow a recipe generated or surfaced by the App, push a cart to Kroger via the App, or consume food prepared with the assistance of the App. This assumption of risk applies to you and to anyone you cook for, share food with, or otherwise expose to App-derived content.
Termination
You can stop using Crvvi at any time and delete your data via Settings → Delete Account. We may suspend or terminate your access for any reason or no reason, with or without notice, including for actual or suspected violation of these Terms.
Disclaimer of warranties
THE APP, ITS CONTENT, AND ALL RELATED SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS," "AS AVAILABLE," AND "WITH ALL FAULTS." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, RELIABILITY, AVAILABILITY, AND THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, WE MAKE NO WARRANTY THAT (a) ANY RECIPE OR INGREDIENT SUGGESTION IS SAFE, ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR FREE FROM ALLERGENS; (b) ANY GROCERY PRODUCT MATCHED TO AN INGREDIENT IS THE CORRECT PRODUCT OR IS FREE FROM ALLERGENS, RECALLS, OR CONTAMINATION; (c) ANY NUTRITIONAL OR COST ESTIMATE IS ACCURATE; OR (d) THE APP IS FIT FOR ANY MEDICAL, NUTRITIONAL, FITNESS, OR THERAPEUTIC PURPOSE.
Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL CRVVI, ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE APP, ANY RECIPE OR MEAL PLAN, ANY ALLERGIC REACTION OR FOODBORNE ILLNESS, ANY CONTENT GENERATED BY AI, ANY GROCERY MATCH OR CART PUSH, ANY KITCHEN INJURY, OR ANY OTHER MATTER ARISING UNDER THESE TERMS — WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STRICT LIABILITY, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
IN ALL CASES, OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY AND ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE APP OR THESE TERMS IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (a) THE AMOUNT YOU ACTUALLY PAID TO US FOR CRVVI PRO IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (b) FIVE U.S. DOLLARS ($5.00).
SOME JURISDICTIONS DON'T ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF CERTAIN WARRANTIES OR THE LIMITATION OF LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. IN SUCH CASES, OUR LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Crvvi, its owners, employees, contractors, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, demands, lawsuits, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use or misuse of the App; (b) your cooking, preparation, serving, or consumption of any food influenced by the App; (c) any allergic reaction, foodborne illness, or other adverse outcome experienced by you or anyone you cook for; (d) your violation of these Terms; (e) your violation of any third-party right (including intellectual-property or privacy rights) through your use of imported recipes or other App features; or (f) your violation of any law or regulation. We reserve the right, at your expense, to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter for which you are required to indemnify us, in which case you'll cooperate with our defense.
Dispute resolution and informal resolution first
Before filing any claim against us, you agree to try to resolve the dispute informally by contacting support@crivvi.com with a written description of the issue and the relief you seek. We will attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute within 60 days. If we cannot, either party may proceed under the governing-law and venue provisions below.
Class action waiver
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, you and we agree that any dispute will be resolved on an individual basis only and not as part of any class, collective, or representative action. You waive any right to participate in a class, collective, or representative action against us.
Changes
We may update these Terms at any time. The "last updated" date at the top tracks revisions. Material changes will be noted on this page. Continued use of Crvvi after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
Governing law and venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Subject to the Class Action Waiver and Dispute Resolution sections above, any action arising out of or related to these Terms or the App must be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in California, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
Severability and survival
If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Disclaimer of Warranties, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, Assumption of Risk, Class Action Waiver, Governing Law) will survive any termination of your use of the App.
Entire agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the App and supersede any prior agreements.
